In St. Petersburg, one of the largest co-owners of the Oil Terminal, Ilya Traber, has been detained

In St. Petersburg, FSB officers detained businessman Ilya Traber. The reasons for the arrest and the nature of the charges against him have not yet been officially disclosed.
Security forces first searched Ilya Traber’s country house. After the Leningrad Region, the FSB visited the businessman’s famous office at 12 Starorusskaya Street and several other businesses.
The investigative operations also affected one of Ilya Traber’s partners.
Traber is considered one of St. Petersburg’s most influential entrepreneurs, having become a prominent figure in the city’s shadow economy in the 1990s and being close to Putin during his tenure in the St. Petersburg mayor’s office.
He began his business in the late 1980s, and in the 1990s he became famous in the antiques market by creating the restoration and commercial center "Antikvar".
He subsequently moved into port and transport infrastructure. Together with Dmitry Skigin, he controlled the Petersburg Oil Terminal, one of the largest oil product transshipment operators in the port of St. Petersburg.
